How to Get Cheap 9mobile Data in Nigeria – Best Plans, Codes & Tips (2026)

9mobile — now officially rebranded as T2mobile — remains one of Nigeria's four major mobile networks, with millions of loyal subscribers[reference:0]. Known for its less congested urban networks and competitive pricing, 9mobile offers some of the most affordable data plans in the country, especially for medium and light users[reference:1].

But here is the thing: while 9mobile's official prices are already attractive, you can get them even cheaper by using the right platforms, choosing the best bundles, and taking advantage of hidden deals like night plans, social bundles, and VTU discounts.

In this comprehensive guide, we break down every 9mobile data plan — daily, weekly, monthly, long‑term, evening/weekend, and social — share the activation codes, compare costs per GB, and show you exactly how to get cheap 9mobile data in 2026.

9mobile at a Glance – What You Need to Know

9mobile (formerly Etisalat Nigeria) rebranded in 2017 and now operates as T2mobile, though most Nigerians still call it 9mobile[reference:2]. It has the smallest subscriber base among the big four — about 3.2 million active users — which actually works in your favour: less congestion means faster speeds during peak hours in urban areas[reference:3][reference:4].

Why choose 9mobile for data?

• Competitive pricing: 9mobile's plans are often cheaper than MTN and Airtel at similar data volumes[reference:5].
• Less congestion: With fewer subscribers, you are less likely to experience network slowdowns in cities[reference:6].
• Great daily and weekly deals: 9mobile offers some of the best short‑term bundles, like 7GB for ₦1,500 weekly[reference:7].
• Night and social bundles: Excellent value for night owls and social media enthusiasts.

Now, let us dive into the plans.

9mobile Data Plans – Complete Breakdown (2026)

9mobile structures its data plans across five main categories: daily, weekly, monthly, long‑term, and evening/weekend[reference:8]. Here is every plan, its price, and activation code.

Daily Data Plans – Perfect for Short Bursts

Daily plans are the most affordable entry point on the 9mobile network. They work best when you need internet access for a short period without committing to a weekly or monthly bundle[reference:9].

Weekly Data Plans – Consistent Access Without Monthly Commitment

Weekly plans fill the gap between daily and monthly bundles. They offer better value per naira than stacking daily plans[reference:14].

The star weekly plan is the 7 GB for ₦1,500. That is just ₦214 per GB — one of the best weekly deals in Nigeria[reference:19].

Monthly Data Plans – Best for Regular Users

Monthly data plans are the most popular choice among regular 9mobile subscribers. They give you enough data to browse, stream, and work through the entire month without frequent recharges[reference:20].

The 1 GB for ₦1,000 is the cheapest entry‑level monthly plan, while the 11.5 GB for ₦8,000 offers the best balance of volume and price for regular users[reference:31][reference:32].

Long‑Term Plans – Quarterly, Bi‑Annual & Annual

For heavy users who want to lock in the lowest possible price per GB, 9mobile offers multi‑month plans[reference:33].

Evening & Weekend Plans – Special Timing Deals

9mobile offers unique plans that give you data during off‑peak hours — perfect for night owls and weekend warriors[reference:35].

Social Bundles – For Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok & More

9mobile also offers dedicated social media bundles for heavy users of specific apps[reference:38].

• Facebook: 20 MB for ₦25
• WhatsApp: 40 MB for ₦50
• TikTok: 150 MB for ₦50

How to Get Even Cheaper 9mobile Data – Smart Strategies

While 9mobile's official plans are already affordable, here is how to save even more.

1. Buy 9mobile Data via VTU Platforms (The Smart Way)

Virtual Top‑Up (VTU) platforms like Fujest negotiate bulk discounts with 9mobile and pass those savings directly to you. This means you pay less than the official price for the exact same data bundle.

For example, the 7 GB weekly plan that costs ₦1,500 officially may be available for as low as ₦1,320 on Fujest — a saving of ₦180. Over time, these savings add up significantly.

2. Subscribe to Night Plans for Heavy Downloads

9mobile's night plans give you large data volumes at deep discounts. The 1 GB night plan for ₦200 (12am–5am) is perfect for downloading movies, music, and large files[reference:39].

3. Use Data‑Saving Features on Your Phone

• Enable Data Saver mode on Chrome, YouTube, and other apps.
• Turn off background data for apps that do not need constant syncing[reference:40].
• Download content (videos, music) over Wi‑Fi for offline use[reference:41].
• Use browsers with built‑in compression like Opera Mini.

4. Share Data Plans with Family or Friends

9mobile allows data sharing through its Me2U feature. By pooling resources and buying larger bundles together, you can get more data at a lower cost per person.

5. Recharge via Fujest for Automatic Discounts

The simplest and most reliable method is to buy all your 9mobile data through Fujest. You get the best rates, instant delivery, and the convenience of managing all your subscriptions from one account.

Comparison: 9mobile vs Other Networks – Where Does It Win?

9mobile wins on weekly plans — the 7 GB for ₦1,500 is unmatched. For monthly plans, Glo offers more data per naira, but 9mobile's less congested network often means faster actual speeds during peak hours[reference:42].
